Lee Boyd win Gorebridge community hub go ahead

Lee Boyd Architects have obtained planning permission for a community hub building in Gorebridge for the Gorebridge Community Development Trust.Clad in locally sourced timber the hall will provide a café, crèche, childcare facilities, offices and meeting rooms within landscaped grounds and in close proximity to amenities such as a leisure centre, library and primary school.
The hall, which has the backing of locals, is needeed to provide flexible spaces that permit a variety of uses and is designed to integrate these nearby activities and buildings to form a concentration of public facilities.
The team await confirmation of funding before taking the project forward.
