Archial conduct Highland curling rink study
February 11 2010
North Highland Curling Trust has appointed Archial Architects to conduct a feasibility study to assess suitable sites for a new curling rink. Two sites have been identified as matching the Trusts criteria. One located adjacent to Tain Golf Club where facilities such as changing rooms, bar and car parking could be shared.
The second lies within North Highland College’s Burghfield campus in Dornoch, a situation which would allow facilities to be shared by students.
Archial will report their initial findings in March before agreeing how best to proceed.
The practice has designed a number of rinks in recent years including Curl Aberdeen and the National Curling Centre in Kinross.
