January 26 2010
Allied Developments Ltd has submitted a 33 storey student accommodation tower for approval by Manchester’s planners.Designed by Hodder and Partners the tower will be located at 17 new Wakefield Street near to Oxford Road Station and will include a ground floor/mezzanine retail unit alongside a common room and reception space.
At some 106m in height with a mammoth 522 student rooms the Stirling Prize winner will be looking to raise the bar in a notoriously shoddy sector in this latest addition to the Mancunian skyline.
