Davis Duncan Architects has won a competition to design new sports facilities for Craigholme School, within Glasgow’s Pollok Park and just off Haggs Road. The new building contains a sports hall, changing areas and caf... area. The architects describe the accommodation as being contained within a “finely crafted timber box” with a curved timber roof supported by glulam beams. The roof has a generous overhang over a decked threshold area, encouraging spectators to stand outside even in bad weather.Read previous: Scottish Stirling
