January 8 2010
Edinburgh’s City Art Centre is to close its doors from late April to late July as it undergoes a £400k refit. The closure has consternated many of the cities art lovers as the gallery will have only just reopened till the start of April following a year long refurbishment.
This shuts the door to public access for longer than had been hoped.
Centre managers are incorporating a new reception, cloakroom and improved toilet facilities to the building. A first floor gift shop will be relocated to street level.
