Sheffield steels itself for sustainability challenge with new panel
January 7 2010
Sheffield has established a design panel comprising some 31 people including BDP director Stephen Marshall to advise on all aspects of design including conservation and landscaping with a focus on sustainability.Amongst representatives on the monthly panel meetings are Glenn Howells, Hawkins Brown and Bauman Lyons architects.
HLM, which is headquartered in the city, will supply three experts: Lucy Plumridge, Anne Daw and Brian Spires.
The move is being driven by Sheffield councillors desire to reduce carbon emissions by providing comment and advice on major planning applications in the city.
