ASL townhouses get planning permission
February 11 2005
A scheme by Austin-Smith:Lord for 70 apartments and townhouses, close to the Georgian terraces of Liverpool’s Rodney Street, has been given the green light. The scheme, for developer Frenson, will see the modern homes built on a site bombed during the Second World War. South-facing homes will be designed with double facades to shield them from the sun’s rays. Council planning manager Nigel Lee welcomed the townhouses, saying they will attract more families back into the city centre.Read next: Cooper Cromar Dumbarton plans
