Zaha Hadid’s Riverside Museum at Glasgow Harbour has been awarded a £15.9million grant by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Council leader Charles Gordon, welcoming the award, said: “I am absolutely delighted the Heritage Lottery Fund has made such a generous grant. The Museum of Transport is a much-loved and popular attraction, but the new Riverside Museum will be bigger and better, particularly in terms of the maritime aspects of the exhibition.” The city council is also hoping to win grant funding from Europe and other sources.Read next: New campus for Northumbria University
