Saltire Society reveal housing awards shortlist

Flying the flag for house design, The Saltire Society Housing Awards has officially announced its 2009 shortlist with projects including Foster and partners Quartermile development going head to head with Smith Scott Mullan’s Mitchell Street housing project, Leith.In amongst the large big ticket schemes are a number of smaller projects from the Highlands and Borders as well as two projects from Skye based Rural Design: Black Shed, Dunvegan and Bank Street, Plockton.
This years housing awards will be unveiled by Scottish Culture Minister Mike Russell at the Lighthouse, Glasgow on November 10.
