HS launch post war architecture battle
October 21 2009
Historic Scotland is to open a debate on post war architecture at a conference this November 24 in Dundee.A bid to open a debate on protecting and celebrating the variety of architectural forms created since 1945 the conference will engage the public on how such buildings can be best maintained.
Documenting changed approaches to design and construction the conference aims to recognise the importance to our heritage of modern architecture, acknowledging their importance as historic structures are today.
In support of this endeavour a new website has been launched at www.celebratingscotlandsarchitecture.org, affording people opportunity to become involved in the debate.
