Edinburgh Castle floors restored
October 19 2009
Edinburgh Castle, one of the United Kingdom’s most visited historic buildings, has received a boost with renovated oak flooring.Flooring at The Queen Anne Suite, Redcoat restaurant and bar areas have been treated by renovation specialists Aable Wooden Floors who specified a water based laquer from Pallmann.
Applying the correct finish posed a challenge for the team in identifying areas of high traffic when sanding and repairing the historic floors.
Combining strength with natural appearance the coating will protect the floor, with Aable providing aftercare maintenance.
