The Carlyle Group and Bellhouse Joseph have announced that AECOM have signed a 15 year lease of the BDP designed Tanfield office complex in Edinburgh.

Occupying 17,097sq/ft of the 190,000sq/ft property which completed in July 2009 AECOM is the first company to move into the £20m redevelopment of Standard Life’s former HQ.

Works entailed lifting up the previous roof to install a new glass atrium which now forms the heart of the complex, drawing in natural light and providing an informal public space.

An impressive second floor roof garden has also been opened up offering panoramic views across the Edinburgh cityscape.
