Allies & Morrison unveil mammoth Coventry plan

Allies & Morrison have submitted plans for a gargantuan mixed use development in Coventry dubbed Friargate.A 37 acre site opposite the city’s train station would be transformed by 14 new buildings housing 300,000sq/m of offices and a further 12 buildings would accommodate hotels, homes, retail and leisure facilities in addition to a new public square fronting the historic station.
Coventry City Council are prioritising development to the south of the city centre in a bid to create a “green connection” between the railway station and the Greyfriars Green conservation area.
Friargate Coventry LLP don’t expect the plans to be complete until between 2019 and 2024.
