Sainsbury’s set up shop in Perth

Sainsbury’s are to gain a toe hold in the town of Perth after the owners of the former United Auctions, Perth City West LLP, signed a deal with the Jamie Oliver fronted retailerThe joint venture partnership of Elphinstone Holdings and Hunter Capital has agreed to sell an 11 acre parcel of land at the Huntingtower site for development of the 70,000sq/ft store with the remainder of the 27 acre site given over to a mixture of retail, residential, business and leisure use.
A consultation is set to begin with the local community in September in advance of a full planning application being made at the end of the year.
