Urban Splash at Irvine waterfront
August 28 2009
Urban Splash and Irvine Bay Regeneration Company Ltd welcomed nearly 200 people to their public consultation on plans for the redevelopment of Irvine Bay.Feedback forms completed at the event will accompany an ensuing planning application, the majority of which are said to be positive.
Irvine’s waterfront will play host to up to 350 homes, improved quayside, shops, offices and a hotel which will be “inspired by the traditional influences of Scottish harbour towns”.
A public consultation is now required to be held by all developers proposing large scale development in advance of a planning application being made under new legislation from the Scottish Government.
