Baxter Clark & Paul to restore Phantassie Steading

Phantassie Heritage LLP and Rennie Meikle Ltd have submitted plans to East Lothian council for the redevelopment of Phantassie Steading in East Linton into a visitor attraction.Architects Baxter Clark & Paul working in conjunction with Derek Scott Planning will restore and repair the B listed quadrangular steading, with a view to transforming the local landmark into a tourism and leisure hub.
Specialist retailers will be invited to set up shop in the rejuvenated premises alongside a bistro, bar and more formal dining areas. Interpretive displays meanwhile will inform visitors of the historic and agricultural heritage of the site.
