Archial Architects have completed a £12m extension to the Bon Accord Centre, Aberdeen.

Commissioned by the Scottish Retail Property partnership the extension provides 50,000sq/ft of additional retail space together with 300 parking spaces.

Fashion retailer Next has taken tenancy of the space which has seen service access reconfigured to better integrate with the existing centre.

The expansion forms part of a strategy by the Centre to retain its shopping pre-eminence in Aberdeen in the face of the imminent arrival of Union Square by BDP.
