Sutherland Hussey have completed their first Chinese project, a timber canopy gateway to the Xiling ski resort near Chengdu.Three columns support a 40m long canopy to provide shelter for visitors and signifying the status of Xiling as a major tourist draw for an area already luring visitors with a cable car station, hiking and a panda reserve.
The entrance feature forms the first component of Sutherland Hussey’s involvement in the area with a mountaintop retreat, hotel and duckpin also in the works.
