Michelin starred chef Paul Kitching has been getting busy in his kitchen, opening a £4.5m restaurant and guesthouse in Edinburgh with partner Katie O’Brien.Burns Design sympathetically restored a Georgian townhouse in the cities Royal Crescent as a backdrop to fine dining and added contemporary flourishes.
Interiors are dominated by striking black and white carpets bearing the Timorous Beastie moth design, providing a consistent theme for the restaurant at the heart of the build. Long and elegant a glass partition segregates kitchen from restaurant allowing patrons to witness the drama of meal creation.
Dubbed 21212, the eaterie is now open. Further details are available at www.21212restaurant.co.uk.
