Hot on the heels of planning approval for the Shortbread House in Granton comes news that Susan Stephen Architects have also received approval for 95 housing association flats on Gorgie Road, Edinburgh.

The development for Dunedin Canmore will provide much needed accommodation for people with varying needs and has been designed to reflect traditional high density tenements with strongly defined street edges.

A sparing use of colour highlights main entranceways and assorted windows with extensive glazing drawing light into the stairwells and breaking up the long horizontal facade.

Work is proposed to start on site in 2010.
