New Architectural Director takes helm at HLM
April 23 2009
HLM Architects have welcomed aboard a new Architectural Director in the form of Patrick Clark, former director of SMC Parr, hot on the heels of a move to more spacious accommodation on West Regent Street.Clark’s arrival at HLM’s Glasgow base follows his recent appointment as Enabler for Architecture + Design Scotland and comes ahead of a return to his old architectural school in Dundee as external tutor.
Encouraging young people into the profession is a goal common to both Clark and HLM.
Clark advised: “I am passionate about sustainable design and development and would like to see the profile of quality architecture raised in Scotland. At HLM, I will be able to work with a practice that is as committed as I am to creating first class architecture with functional and high quality environments that stand the test of time.”
HLM specialise in education provision, a strong suit that should be further enhanced with the acquisition of Clark’s knowledge and learning.
