Fyne Homes shows style in Argyll
April 16 2009
Residents of Argyle and Bute have been given opportunity to grasp the first rung of the property ladder with the launch of two shared equity housing projects from Fyne Initiatives – a subsidiary of Fyne Homes.Tigh-Na-Cladach, by Innellan, Cowal is a 14 home development designed by Gokay Devici that enjoys spectacular views across the Firth of Clyde. Each home is built to PassivHaus principles and some have their own private roof-top garden.
The second development, The Old Courthouse, is located in the historic Rothesay council and sheriff court building which has been refurbished by Collective Architecture to provide 25 new flats, each retaining unique characteristics and features.
The shared equity system allows local people with the means to purchase a majority share of the property, between 60% - 80%, only paying a mortgage on their share, no additional rent is payable.
