easyHotel, a new low cost hotel concept from the ubiquitous orange Stelios Haji-Ioannou, looks set to debut on one Hill St, Glasgow.

The franchise offers budget accommodation in city centre locations by sacrificing some space and luxuries.

A redundant office block, previously occupied by gm+ad mongst others, will be fully refurbished and reclad externally with a channel glass façade system and metal cladding.

A new penthouse suite will be added to the roofscape to maximise floor space.

Developed by Jam Hotels and designed by Norwich based TCA Design Associates, specialists in hotel conversions, the work should spruce up the city’s northern fringe.

The plans await approval and no timescale has been given for works to commence.
