Industry gets set for Glasgow 2014

A conference is to be held in Glasgow to explore opportunities for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.In attendance will be Tom Bain, director of operations for Glasgow 2014; Ian Hooper, director of special projects at culture and sport Glasgow; Mike Levack, chief executive of the Scottish Building Federation; John Duff, Chairman of RICS Scotland and Steve Inch, director of Development and Regeneration Services.
They will provide an overview of the scope of construction work required to deliver the Games and identify opportunities for the construction industry. In addition they will look at the challenges that such large scale projects pose and explore what the Games will mean for Glasgow in the aftermath of 2014,
