Smith Scott Mullan Associates have completed their restoration of the Grade A listed City Chambers in Edinburgh.Notable refurbishment has been carried out upon the main Council chamber with the reinstatement of the original 1904 colour scheme as well as restoration of murals, paintings and original light fittings.
On the main stair specially designed carpets and wallpaper have been introduced along with several commissioned decorative glass windows and wall panels to depict the evolution of the city.
The works form a key component of Edinburgh City Council’s “Fit for Future” initiative, a project which aims to provide cost effective and efficient council services using sustainable materials and construction processes.
