Cooper Cromar have scored an A rating, Scotland’s first ever, in the new Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating system.Solail House, Strathclyde Business Park and the Altum Building, West of Scotland Science Park, scooped the honours despite being conventional office space by providing a ground source heat pump, solar thermal heating, photovoltaic glass, an intelligent building management system, rainwater harvesting, sun pipes, recycling facilities and maximum energy lighting.
The Altum building houses two floors of office accommodation with large expanses of glazing to provide natural daylight and generous floor to ceiling height for ventilation.
David Dool, Executive Director at Cooper Cromar said, “As a business we are passionate in our aim to promote sustainable developments. Cooper Cromar’s approach is to put the theories and concepts of sustainability into practice.”
