McTavish get a handle on Livingstone
West Lothian Civic Centre, taking shape in Livingstone town centre, has taken delivery of 400 bespoke doors in an open and shut case for architectural door specialist, McTavish Ramsay.

BDP are handling deign honours on the project, valued at £53m.

The centre aims to provide accommodation for a sheriff court, procurator fiscal’s office, police station and office provision for 600 staff at Almondvale Valley in Livingstone.

New build was adopted after cost estimates were returned to the tune of £16m for maintenance, repair and upgrade of three existing council buildings spread across Livingstone, Bathgate and Linlithgow.

Running costs for purpose built premises at Almondvale Valley compared favourably when measure against this, coming out at a mere £8m per annum.

Works are expected to complete by the Summer.
