Irreverent Glaswegian comedian Frankie Boyle has got in on the Carbuncles act with his latest stand up show.

In Frankie Boyle Live at the Apollo, the ginger impresario lampoons last years winner, Coatbridge, in typically scathing fashion quipping that the Lanarkshire town “resembled Bladerunner… without the special effects”.

Continuing in a similar vein the counter culture comic went for the jugular stating “Coatbridge is the only place in the world that Ethiopia has held a rock concert for.”
