Kilmarnock is pushing further into farmland north of the town with planning consent for 134 new homes.

Land at Northcraig Reservoir has been earmarked for the expansion of an existing housing estate, for which infrastructure works are already underway, setting the scene for additional two to four-bedroom homes.

Driven by Taylor Wimpey Lairds Gardens is arranged around a central courtyard and play area for residents.

Martin Findlay, technical director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “All technical consents are in place and the Section 75 agreement has been concluded between the lead developer and East Ayrshire Council, and I am pleased to confirm that our programme of work to be able to provide a development of this scale is already underway."

This agreement will help fund a green infrastructure project and local transport infrastructure improvements in Kilmarnock.
