February 24 2025
Work has begun to build a new health and wellbeing centre for Fettes College in Edinburgh to improve student welfare.
The low-carbon building is being built by CCG to designs by Page/Park to house the independent school's medical services department, tasked with ensuring the mental and physical health of students.
In a statement, Page/Park Architects commented: "Designed to set new standards for sustainable development in the college grounds, the project is a testament to our work with Fettes to establish a route to net zero carbon operations.”
The Allardice Centre has been named in memory of former student David Allardice, who passed away in 2022.
CCG managing director, David Wylie, added: “The school clearly places a great deal of emphasis on their students’ wellbeing in and out of the classroom, and I am thankful to the leadership team for choosing CCG to deliver this project and commemorate the Allardice name."
The contractor peviously collaborated with Page/Park on Glasgow's North Gate development.
