A sports facility within the grounds of Pollok Country Park is to be expanded and upgraded with new pitches, paths and floodlighting.

Sports Labs and City Charitable Trust propose renovating three existing pitches at Lochinch Sports Pavilion and laying two new smaller pitches to improve training facilities for tenants Queens Park FC.

In a statement, the applicant wrote: "The primary aim of the works are to increase and improve the availability of high-quality sports facilities in the area.

"The pitch sizes were designed in collaboration with SFA to ensure the facility is of the highest standard and in accordance with their requirements to allow use at all levels of football."

A mix of grass and synthetic pitches will encourage greater use by a variety of sports with an upgraded path to the northern and western boundaries potentially serving as a future park run.
