Kenmore’s Westport to the fore
December 19 2008
Fresh office accommodation in the form of Westport is now taking shape at the hands of Kenmore Property Group and Michael Laird Architects. The property occupies a prominent position at the junction of West Port and Lady Lawson St, Edinburgh, enjoying high visibility from the Castle esplanade.
The construction site gives promise of an improved substitute to the unfortunate prior occupant of the site, the vacant concrete bulk of 1971’s Westport House.
A street fronting envelope of stone and glass wraps around a preferred south facing courtyard, providing the property with an abundance of natural light.
