Traditional townhouses to complete Edinburgh's Craighouse Campus

The contentious redevelopment of Edinburgh's Craighouse Campus is nearing its conclusion with the delivery of a further four townhouses to designs amended from their original approval way back in 2012.

Comprehensive Design Architects have returned to this element of the plan with a redesigned exterior that is more in keeping with the traditional appearance of Craiglea Place while improving the entrance aspect of the wider development.

In a design statement, CDA wrote: "This application proposes changes to the footprint and appearance of the elevations of the original consent to better reflect the scale, form and general typology of neighbouring properties on Craiglea Place."

Each dual-aspect townhouse will include 2045 sqft of accommodation finished in buff sandstone to the front and gables with white render to the rear.

The current site is overgrown and inaccessible to the public.

I think you meant to say the current site was a stunning natural landscape in the city with a distinct historical character and cultural significance UR?

This is utter mince CDA...and smaller, irrelevant trad' version compared with the bombastic urban mince you inflicted on the site to date.
