Brownfield Dundee build boosts supported housing

30 affordable homes, including much needed supported accommodation, have been handed over to tenants at Coldside Road in Dundee.

Delivered by KDM Architects on behalf of Caledonia Housing Association the £5.4m project comprises a mix of houses and flats which replace a variety of industrial units.

Six apartments have been developed as supported accommodation in conjunction with Dundee City Council's Health and Social Care Partnership. DHSCP chair Ken Lynn said: “These extra homes are an extremely welcome addition to the city; the six new homes that will be used to provide this support require additional features and specifications that go beyond the standard set by a typical housing association.

“DHSCP commissioned the service that will provide onsite support enabling adults with additional support needs to stay in their local community and get the right care and support.”

Homes are finished in off-white dry dash render and red brindle mix facing brickwork.
