As the sun sets on 2008 and hearts and minds train on approaching festivities, the coming year begins to loom large in our thoughts.Leaping to the fore of any architecture and design enthusiasts’ calendar should be the Scottish Design Awards 2009 which in a fit of timely conjunction have opened the door to entries.
If you have a project of demonstrable excellence in design, showcasing innovative thought and a fresh and inspirational approach then our judging panel want to hear from you!
Judges so far include -

Denis Sharp - Denis Sharp Architects
Robert Adam - Robert Adam Architects
Paul Zara - Conran & Partners
Ivan Harbour - Rogers Stirk harbour + Partners
The awards look to reward and recognise excellence in architectural design and graphic design in Scotland. With many architectural design categories to choose from including; Best Commercial Project, Best Regeneration and new for 2009 - Best Lighting Design and Best Low Cost Project, there is always a categories to suit you.
Any work with a Scottish connection is eligible, be that undertaken on behalf of Scottish clients, built in Scotland or designed by Scottish architects, engineers and lighting designers.
The deadline for entering has been set as Friday - February 6th, so don’t delay enter now to get 2009 off to a flying start and remember, If you have a project - If no one else can help - and if you can find us - maybe you can join the SDA team.
