Easthouses Primary completes in time for the new school year

Midlothian Council has taken possession of the brand new Easthouses Primary ahead of the start of the new school year.
Delivered by Hub South East with Morrison Construction and jmarchitects the school has a roll of 459 and is a direct replacement for the former Newbattle High School, including an Additional Support Needs (ASN) unit and a nursery.
David Ewing, managing director for Morrison Construction Building Central, said: "The new Easthouses Primary School is a fantastic example of a flexible school, capable of dealing with the needs of mainstream students, ASN students, and pre-school children."
The U-plan school takes the form of two wings linked by shared dining facilities, a multi-purpose hall, an art space, offices and support facilities.
New housing is being built on the remainder of the former grounds of Newbattle High.
Sixty seven pupils will be attending on the first day of the new term along with 80 pre-school childre

Or maybe the council issued a design guideline to have schools in light brick and dark metal only?
