Paisley apartments plan earns planning all-clear
July 29 2024
Renfrewshire Council has given the go-ahead to 31 flats southwest of an existing care home at Stanely Road, Paisley.
Renfrew-based Stanely Homes with Robert Potter & Partners propose three blocks of accommodation with the front portion addressing the street with corner balconies.
Intended to reflect the villa character of the established residential area the project emphasises horizontal scale with ground-floor apartments having access to a private patio while upper flats receive inset balconies.
Finished in precast stone, eternit board and render the properties will be arranged around an interior courtyard with space for 40 vehicles.
Conditions of approval include a bird hazard management plan to minimise the roof's attractiveness to nesting gulls, owing to its proximity to Glasgow Airport.
