Parkland apartments take shape in West Edinburgh

Cruden Homes has begun delivery of a second phase of a 122 home development at Turnhouse Road, Edinburgh.

Phase two of the West Craigs Green development in West Edinburgh includes a variety of apartments, terraces, semi-detached houses and townhouses overlooking the newly landscaped Lennie Park.

Ian Springford Architects have slotted the development into a broader masterplan for the fast-developing area that includes a school, nursery, cafe and health centre.

Hazel Davies, sales and marketing director at Cruden Homes, said: “West Craigs Green is a vibrant, community-focused development, and is perfectly located for those who wish to live in more scenic surroundings with all the benefits of staying close to the city centre.

“Many of these spacious apartments have balconies providing scenic views of Lennie Park and Turnhouse golf course. We had a great response to the first phase of apartments and it highlights the strong demand for quality housing in this area."

Augmenting standard house types with custom townhouses and apartments broken down into vertical bays of recessed balconies. A darker brick highlights these recessed facades with precast concrete panels at ground level signifying entrances.
