Work begins to turn Morris & Steedman Haymarket block into a hotel

Construction has begun on a 157-bed Haymarket hotel with the appointment of Ogilvie Construction by developer S.Harrison to deliver the project.

Work will see Osborne House, a defunct 1970s office building at Osborne Terrace, extensively remodelled through part demolition and new build extensions to plans by Comprehensive Design Architects.

Two additional wings of accommodation will be built to the rear along with a rooftop extension while reusing the bulk of the existing structure, originally designed by Morris & Steedman.

Grier Edmead of Ogilvie Construction said: “We are proud to be working with S Harrison on this project which has energy-efficiency and strong sustainability credentials at the heart of its design."

Meininger Hotels will operate the building when it completes in spring 2026.
