More Edinburgh student flats to move on-site this month

A new student housing development at East Newington Place, Edinburgh, is set to break ground later this month with the appointment of Thomas Johnstone as main contractor.
Property development company, S Harrison, is leading the project to replace a disused commercial unit with 65 studio rooms and amenities arranged around an open courtyard.
Overseen by Comprehensive Design Architects the energy-efficient build, forward funded by Singapore-based Q Investment Partners, will be heated using air-source heat pumps rather than gas, which will give it an EPC rating of A.
Work on the development will be completed in autumn 2025.
