Osborne St student flats clear planning

Glasgow's booming student housing market is to be fuelled by a further 273 beds with the award of planning consent for a vacant site on Osborne Street.
Ambassador Group with Mosaic Architecture + Design plan a £40m block on the corner of Old Wynd, stacking ten floors of bedrooms on the urban site together with resident amenities.
Ahsan Afzal, head of development for Nova Living at Ambassador Group, commented: “Glasgow’s shortage of accommodation has been well documented and with student numbers set to increase, our plans help to address this shortfall with an exciting new scheme in a brilliant location.”
Addressing antisocial behaviour in the vicinity by introducing ground floor oversight the plans include public realm improvements to Old Wynd itself to improve connectivity with the Trongate.
Development work is expected to begin in the summer for completion in 2026.
