Glasgow's private rental market comes of age in Springboig

The burgeoning build-to-rent sector is shifting from city centre apartments to suburban family accommodation with the first phase completion of a 'rental neighbourhood' in Springboig.

Casa by Moda, a family-oriented subdivision of Moda Group, has completed the first tranche of 31 homes at Vista Park - soon to be home to 156 hi-tech properties equipped with real time environmental sensors to monitor air temperature, light pollution and air quality.

Billed as the first time that private family rentals have been offered at scale in Glasgow, tenants are promised deposit-free and pet-friendly accommodation.

Sarah Nelson, director of operations at Casa by Moda commented: “The opening of Casa, Vista Park, couldn’t come at a better time for residents in Glasgow where demand for quality rental properties is far outstripping demand.

“A key focus for us is to make sure that our new neighbourhoods truly embed into, and act as an extension of, their surrounding communities – so alongside delivering high-quality, sustainable homes we’re also looking to build partnerships with local businesses and organisations. That way our neighbourhoods feel like home from day one, and we hope encourages our residents to stay for a long time."

A second phase of accommodation at Vista Park comprising semi-detached, terraced and detached dwellings will be available in the spring with a final tranche of apartments following a year later.

The 6.5-hectare neighbourhood is being developed in collaboration with CCG per a Stallan-Brand masterplan.
