Demolished Dundee pub gives rise to retail-led infill

New plans to resuscitate the site of a recently demolished Dundee pub have been brought forward by Jon Frullani Architect comprising four retail units and 16 flats.

Land at Dickson Avenue, near the recently completed Menzieshill Community Hub, will host the build, which increases the number of flats from a previous iteration for financial viability.

Standing on the site of the Rock public house the buff brick and fibre cement clad build features glazed balustrades to its southern and northern flanks, with views across the Tay Estuary.

Densifying a prominent corner plot close to Ninewells Hospital the project features commercial units ranging from 71 to 400 sqm fronting a council-owned car park.

The development will benefit from an existing parking and drop-off facility

Hasn't Dundee suffered enough? That is awful - It looks like a contractor designed it
