Kenneth Reid Architects have prepared plans for a standalone office building of 114sq/m over three floors plus a mezzanine level at 20 New Mart Road, Edinburgh.

Marcos Leisure has commissioned the build for a 54sq/m storage yard up the road from their current home, electing for open plan triangular floorplates wrapping a corner access and services core.

Presenting a facade of smooth render and frameless glazing and timber louvres at ground level to obscure toilets the scheme includes a mezzanine level on the second floor.

Rising from a red brick base the offices utilise grey curtain wall glazing to the street frontage with obscure glass spandrel panels and louvres denoting changes in level.

The existing tarmac pavement will be extended to match the adjacent footway.
