Party's over for a former Dundee nightclub
January 18 2023
Affordable housing provider Cullross has shared initial plans to develop 72 flats on the site of the former Oxygen nightclub within Dundee's Blackness conservation area.
Offering a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments above a ground-floor workshop and commercial units the 60 Brown Street built is being helmed by jmarchitects.
The 0.41 acre site sits in a mixed industrial zone to the immediate west of the city centre and just south of the inner city ring road.
Mark Beaton, director of Cullross commented: "We are keen to meet with the community to discuss our early-stage plans for the site and receive feedback on how the community would like them to be developed.
“The proposals are high-level with a view to speaking to the community and getting their feedback before progressing to a second event in February where more detail will be presented.”
A public consultation is being held today and 15 February between 16:00 and 20:00 at the Hampton by Hilton Hotel at 1 Argyllgait.
The project team includes Goodson Associates and Hulley & Kirkwood.
