Textured brick homes bring affordable living to Falkirk

C & S Group with SB Architects have come forward with plans for 17 affordable homes near Falkirk.
Located in the village of Westquarter the submitted design for Cedar Crescent provides for an apartment block and neighbouring terrace surrounded by gardens and amenity space.
Employing a textured mid-grey tone brick the build incorporates inset balconies at prominent corners with selected windows framed in concrete surrounds to add visual interest.
Outlining the architectural approach SB Architects wrote: "One single primary material will be proposed, with one further feature material to be used sparingly and intelligently to create subtle visual interest where required."
The plans supercede a 2014 approval for 14 houses and flats on the same site.
A mix of apartments and terraced houses are offered
The modern homes defer to the established residential area
