Moda Holland Park harnesses art to come out on top
July 4 2022
Moda Living and Robertson Construction have conducted a topping out ceremony at Holland Park, an emerging build to rent block in Glasgow city centre.
The occasion was marked by the commission of an evocative painting of the development by local artist Ida Henrich, part of efforts to celebrate the artistic heritage of a neighbourhood defined by the Glasgow School of Art.
This approach is embodied by cementing an artists’ paintbrush into the top floor, literally enshrining art within the built fabric of a development which stresses community living through inclusion of a 24 hour gym; private dining rooms, a cinema, games rooms and roof terraces complete with green space and BBQ areas.
Rising on the site of the former Strathclyde Police HQ Holland Park will offer 433 apartments when complete in a series of buildings rising up to 22 storeys, with ground floor commercial units helping to knit the building into the streetscape.
Designed by Haus Collective Moda, Holland Park, should open in 2023.
