Italian Caffe Interior
9 Jun 2008
INTROSPECT
CM Design Consultants was briefed to create a contemporary casual yet elegant dining space for the Italian Caffe in Glasgow, inspired by the wine shops, or enoteccas, of Rome and Milan. The unit was formerly an interior design and furniture showroom, built in 1997 in the Merchant City area of Glasgow. The Artemede wall and ceiling lights were specially selected for their design, and by using rich materials such as Travertine marble, walnut timber, sage colour leather and classical Caravaggio artwork, the result is a lavish yet uncluttered dining interior, with an informal atmosphere and a hint of Mediterranean opulence.Photography by Paul Zanre
