Energy Retrofit of Traditional Buildings
Date: 28 Nov 2024 - 28 Nov 2024
Time: 18:00 - 20:00
Town/City: Riddles Court, Lawnmarket, Edinburgh
Are you looking to enhance the energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions of your traditional building but don't know where to start? Join us for a free event on the Energy Retrofit of Traditional Buildings.
During the event, Energy Retrofit Specialist Yasser Battikha and Yann Grandgirard, Head of Climate Change at Edinburgh World Heritage, will provide insights on approaches, interventions, strategies, practical steps, and pitfalls to avoid when undertaking energy retrofit projects in traditional buildings.
They will also present a case study of a whole house retrofit project in a listed tenement on the Royal Mile. The session will also cover Edinburgh World Heritage's Climate Emergency Grant programme, future projects, and a Q&A session. The event will conclude with tea and coffee. Seats are limited, so reserve your spot now.
Just a slight note of caution: if you attended the event of the same name in April in St Paul and St George's Church, or the Edinburgh Traditional Building Forum event in August at the Museum of Edinburgh, this will have the same content, and we would not like to disappoint those hoping for new or different content.
