The Zit Building Award
For the worst building completed since the last awards
1 Haymarket Square (Edinburgh)
Reason for nomination: This featureless grey box of glass and steel looms over its UNESCO-listed neighbours with all the charm of a photocopier left out in the rain. Boldly defying context, proportion, and basic human enjoyment, it casts an ominous shadow over centuries of heritage, as if challenging history itself to a staring contest. Nominated by: David Wood
